Camp Regulus, Ajuy

(c) Chad Clement for the picture :)

Every year my school has this field trip where we go out of town to experience something different. This was in Camp Regulus, Ajuy. This was our 8th Grade field trip. So, this place is very far from the town proper and only a few people lives in this barangay. This camp has 3 falls. But on our field trip we only got to see one waterfall (in the picture above). The water of this fall is very clean and cold. You can drink from this waterfall directly. It is very clean because no one lives in the surroundings of the waterfall. For me, this is one of the hidden nature of the Province Western Visayas. I hope you can visit this place and find it as amazing as we did. :)

Cata-an Beach in Patnongon, Antique, Iloilo

So, this sun rise was taken in Patnongon, Antique. As I have said in my past blog posts me & my family are always traveling. We love traveling as a family. This was in Cata-an Beach, It is like 20 mins from the town proper. They also have swimming pool.

They have a kiddie pool and a pool for adults. For the adults it was like 5 to 6 feet. So, we stayed here for 2 3 days and 2 nights. Every Morning for 2 days we always swim in the morning because the water is still cold and were the only ones swimming. This place is very relaxing because it is from the town proper which means it is far from noises and pollution. I hope you could visit this inland and beach resort because every peso you'll spent on this trip will be worth it! :)

The Ruins in Bacolod

This is the ruins in Bacolod. This is in Talisay, Bacolod. I went here when it was the semestral break of my 7th Grade. They said that this was owned by Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson. They said that he built this for his Portuguese wife, Maria Braga. They also said that this was burned down by Japanese guerillas. So, this said place has a mini golf area. And they also have there a mini souvenir shop and coffee shop. When I first went to this place it really took my breath away. They also had this fountain which is full with fishes in it.

This is the picture of the fountain. They also have this grotto of Mother Mary which shows that they are really devoted to their religion. I hope you will enjoy your trip there as much as I did! :)

GoDucate in San Miguel, Iloilo

So, this was taken in GoDucate in San Miguel in the Province of Iloilo. So, in order to get to this place you need to ride a jeepney you'll be traveling for like about 45 minutes from the city going here. This place is surrounded by forest so it is very peaceful here. So, in entering this place you should observe their rules like No Smoking around the area. And also in entering this place you'll also meet a tourist guide, when we went here our tourist guide was a woman. You can also stay here over night. Their rate is very cheap.

So, here is the nipa hut you can occupy for your stay here. And there is also a modern house but I don't have any picture of it. So this nipa hut is surrounded by trees so it is not that hot. For me, this place is worth every cent you'll spent on it. I hope you'll enjoy there as much as I did! :)

Magpatawhay in San Joaquin, Iloilo

Every Sunday we have this tradition of going out of town either to go to mass or to eat for lunch. Well this picture was in San Joaquin. This is in an eatery called "Magpatawhay" in Lawigan, San Joaquin. We have been going there since I was 6 years old. So, from Iloilo City you'll pass through Villa, Oton, Tigbauan, Guimbal, and Miag-ao to get to San Joaquin. So if you're gonna ride a jeepney the time travel is about an hour and a half. Well if you're gonna ride your car it is about an hour only.  From the town proper of San Joaquin you still have to travel about 10-15 minutes (depends on your speed) to get to this very peaceful and relaxing eatery. Many tourists eat here because of the very hospitable and very kind people. I hope you'll enjoy there food as much as we did! :)

Kamandag Falls in Bukari, Leon, Iloilo

Last summer, we went to this place called Bukari, Leon also called "The Little Baguio". If you'll ride a car from Iloilo City going there the estimated time is 2 hours and a half. If you'll ride a jeepney going there the estimated time is 3 hours the most. When you ride the jeepney you have to occupy it or else the Drivers won't take you there. After traveling you'll be in a barangay where people are so hospitable and very kind. But in order to enter the area of the falls you have to pay 20 pesos because they use it for maintaining the falls and also their barangay. So from their Barangay Proper you still have to walk half a kilometer or a kilometer to get to the falls. You're gonna be with their a.k.a "Tourists guide".

So, you have to cross 2 hanging bridges in order to get to the falls. The falls has many parts where you can swim. The tourists guide told us that the falls before was very shallow and it was 5 ft. But since the Philippines experienced the "Bagyo Frank" the rock formation of the falls broke due to flood. But the place is very relaxing and the water is very cold. There are small sunflowers growing there. and many various plants that can't be seen in the city. Everything in this place is worth it! :)
